About White Tea Central

White Tea Central is an independent online guide devoted to a single subject: white tea. We cover the classic Fujian grades — Silver Needle, White Peony, Gong Mei and Shou Mei — along with brewing technique, caffeine, aging, storage and buying advice.

We built this site because white tea sits in an odd gap: it is celebrated in passing by general tea sites, and marketed hard by shops, but rarely treated with the depth a dedicated drinker actually needs. Our goal is to be the resource we wished existed — specific numbers instead of vague advice, sources instead of folklore, and honest caveats where the evidence is thin.

How we work

Guides are written and maintained by the White Tea Central editorial team. Brewing parameters come from repeated side-by-side sessions with the grades we describe; caffeine and health content is synthesized from published laboratory research and standard references, cited on the page where the claim appears. Every substantial page carries a “last reviewed” date, and we update guides when better information reaches us.
